Fotografie ist für mich zunächst ein traditionelles Handwerk, bei dem die Beherrschung der Aufnahme entscheidend ist. Seit kurz vor der Jahrtausendwende beschäftige ich mich in meiner täglichen Arbeit intensiv mit der Fotografie. Zunächst habe ich mich mit der klassischen analogen Schwarz-Weiß-Technik auseinandergesetzt. In der heutigen digitalen Welt orientiere ich mich nach wie vor an jenen Prinzipien, die für mich zu reinen, unbearbeiteten Bildern führen.
Das Wesen der Dinge einzufangen, ist ein heikler Prozess. Mit scharfem Gespür bin ich stets auf der Suche und schaffe Bilder, deren Geschichten so vielschichtig sind, wie der Betrachter bereit ist, sie einzutauchen. Meine Kamera ermöglicht es mir, in Situationen und an Orte zu gelangen, die mir ohne sie wahrscheinlich verschlossen blieben.
Meine Schwerpunkte liegen auf Fine Art, Portrait und visuellem Storytelling.

For me, photography is first and foremost a traditional craft in which mastery of the shot is the decisive criterion. Since shortly before the turn of the millennium, I have been intensively involved with photography on a daily basis, initially working with classic analogue black-and-white techniques. In today's digital world, I still orient myself by the principles that lead to pure, unprocessed images.
Capturing the essence of things is a delicate process. With a keen eye, I am always searching and creating images whose stories are as layered as the viewer is willing to explore. My camera lets me enter situations and places I probably wouldn't have access to without it.
My focus is on fine art, portraits and visual storytelling.
